Jun. 28th, 2012 07:21 pmA disappointing day in sports. First Germany loses then Nadal to a rather low-ranked player. At least the other players I watch are still in the tournament.
Congratulations on making it to the third round Echizen. Your match was quicker than I expected. I suppose you are saving your energy for the later rounds. Good luck during your next match.

I've been eyeing auctions lately, but there hasn't been anything of the quality I desire. It's probably a good thing considering I have more than enough to work on, but I can't help but add to my collection.

May. 10th, 2012 08:18 pmCopenhagen was wonderful. We went to the Sakura festival and then wandered around the Tivoli Gardens. My father and I looked in a few bookstores while my mother perused various shops. While we did return to Germany with many books, I also had a nice portion of new clothing. Sometimes I rather think my mother wished she had a girl instead.
As always, Munich was gorgeous. I would have loved to go climbing, but I think I'll do so this summer on a mountain in the south.

Apr. 5th, 2012 06:19 pmIt's quite a good thing that I asked my secretary to schedule weekly massages in the afternoons. My body is still not used to the movements that class makes me go through. One of the women suggested yoga as well to help with flexibility. I admit the idea of turning myself into a human pretzel is not ideal, but neither is the thought that I'm not using body to its full potential. A strong mind is not best served with a weak body.
I've decided to spend Golden Week in Copenhagen with my parents. There is a bookstore I have been meaning to peruse, but always seem to get caught up in other things when I'm there. We'll be there in time for the Copenhagen Sakura Festival. There is going to be a Judo demonstration on Saturday that I'm quite interested in. Yanagi, Arthur, I would like you both to come, but you don't have to if you have other plans or are uninterested. If you choose to come, the apartment will be fine in our absence.

Mar. 16th, 2012 07:28 amI did not complete as much work as I had anticipated while in Bali, but that wasn't the purpose of the trip and to be quite honest, I think the actual outcome was more preferable. I apologise if I called at any time during the last few days of our trip. I was quite a bit out of it. Thankfully, Yanagi grabbed my business line. Otherwise, I would be performing damage control. If not for pictures, I wouldn't remember what happened. That is a problem.
Nonetheless, I'm glad to be home. I feel quite recharged. It was quite a good idea Yanagi. Thank you for suggesting it.
Arthur, I hope the trip was also good for you.
Seiichi, tea when you return?

Feb. 22nd, 2012 04:56 pmNorway was pleasant despite the lack of sun. There was a slight dialect, but it wasn't hard to communicate or pick up on. Even though there wasn't much natural light, the glacier was still beautiful. It made me miss mountain climbing. I'm going to look into tackling Sakurajima for sometime this spring. Thank you for picking it Atobe.

Feb. 1st, 2012 10:47 amAlthough I've been home for a few weeks, work has kept me quite busy. The holidays were wonderful. I didn't get as much translated or read as I would have liked, but I did get to spend some time in Hanover with my mother's side of the family. Munich was nice. I rather wish it would have snowed. It would have made the Christkindlmarkt much more gorgeous. Belatedly, I hope everyone had a good holiday.
I also have spent quite a bit of time in the building that Arthur and Yanagi found and repurposed into a library. I've been cataloging items, shifting, shelving. It is quite relaxing and makes for a good break in between chapters. Though the building isn't as big as El Ateneo in Buenos Aires, I still find myself getting lost in the stacks.

Dec. 24th, 2011 06:52 pmHerzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag, Echizen. I sent your present to your parent's house. I hope it gets to you no later than tomorrow.
Germany is fine. I first visited my mother's side of the family before driving back down to Munich. We went to Christkindlmarkt last night. I think it would have been better if it had snowed, but it isn't in the forecast until later this week.
I hope every one has a good holiday.

Dec. 1st, 2011 08:37 pmBelated congratulations on your victory, Echizen. I didn't watch the finals, but I was able to catch your quarterfinal match. You played well.
I confirmed my trip to Munich with my parents. Though, I'll be flying into meet them and spend a few days with my mother's side of the family in Hannover. Particularly to go to the Weihnachtsmarkt. I haven't been to it in years. I suppose that's because I've always enjoyed Munich more. This year I plan on going to the Christkindlmarkt at Marienplatz.
My parents have insisted I try to relax and not work as many days while in Munich. I do want to visit the offices there at least once. I can work from my study at the estate, I suppose. The library there is much more familiar.
Atobe, are you going to Germany for Christmas or are you and your parents staying in Tokyo?

Nov. 15th, 2011 08:01 pmWe arrived back from Argentina last Sunday. I'm afraid there wasn't much of a readjustment period before I went back to the office. Sleeping on the plane helped with that tremendously.
It was a wonderful trip. I shall have to go back in the future. There were many sections I did not get to due to being enthralled by others. Tremendous gratitude, Seiichi.
Echizen. I hope you will at least peruse "The History of Chocolate." It is in Portuguese and was quite the read. May I assume that the candy has already been properly disposed ofin a manner that is probably quite undignified?
Yanagi. Arthur. Thank you so much for getting my costume together to have Atobe bring.I don't remember much about Halloween, but from what I hear it was fun. Halloween was a success.

Oct. 30th, 2011 12:35 pmAtobe. Yanagi has something I need. If you could pick it up and bring it on your flight here, I would be very appreciative. I promise that it will not prevent you leaving Japan or entering Argentina.

Sep. 7th, 2011 07:06 pm( I found a new project. )
Seiichi. While perusing auctions for things of interest, I found a few that might be up your alley. Granted, I believe they fall after you are set to return. The first one is Palais Abbatial de Royaumont and the other is L'âge d'or du rail.

Aug. 20th, 2011 10:13 pmI think it might be necessary to make a trip to Munich in the next few days. There is a certain particular statue my mother has that needs to be destroyed. One week will be a nice break before school starts up for me again.
Yanagi, I'd prefer if you stayed here to take care of the construction of the fish tank. Arthur, I think some time out of the country would be beneficial for you.Plus, the fact that you were wearing a wig of Atobe's hairstyle was a bit concerning as to the state of your mental health. I'm sure my mother would love to see you.
